Listening & Communication Skills

Strategies for Powerful Classroom Delivery

About this Training

Great teaching requires presence, emotion, and the ability to capture and hold children’s attention. This hands-on training introduces early childhood and elementary educators to practical acting techniques that dramatically improve classroom engagement and communication.

Participants will explore core elements of performance arts — including voice control, body language, storytelling, improvisation, and emotional expression — and apply them to everyday teaching scenarios.

Through interactive exercises based on theatre practice, teachers will learn how to:

Use their voice (tone, volume, rhythm) to create curiosity and focus.

Engage students through dynamic storytelling and dramatic narration.

Incorporate movement and facial expression to reinforce concepts.

Build confidence and reduce “stage fright” in front of groups.

Adapt their delivery to different student emotions and energy levels.

Use improvisation to respond to unexpected classroom moments.

By the end of this workshop, teachers will have a practical toolbox of “acting strategies” they can immediately apply in their classrooms to create more engaging, joyful, and impactful learning experiences.
